Lights on and Lantern Parade
Wednesday 27 November 4pm to 7pm
The Christmas festivities begin with the local school children's lantern procession and the switching on of the Christmas sparkly lights. The procession will start at 4pm in front of the Discover Greenwich Visitor Centre at the Old Royal Naval College and, led by the Sea Cadets, will wind its way to the Market. The big countdown at 4.30pm led by Sarah Jane Honeywell from CBeeBies and characters from this year's Greenwich Playhouse panto Puss in Boots. All can join in singing Christmas Carols, meet Father Christmas in his Greenwich Grotto and shop late through to 7pm.
Father Christmas At Home
Father Christmas will be in residence at his Greenwich Grotto on Wednesday 27 November and the following weekends 7th and 8th, 14th and 15th, 21st and 22nd December. His funny elf will treat the children to magic and balloon fun while they wait their turn to talk to Santa and collect their Christmas gift bag. 12.30pm to 5.30pm daily. £4 a visit.
